WE HAVE BEEN SELLING THESE AT ABOUT 250+ EACH YEAR AND MOST ARE SOLD TO DEALERS AND SMALL SHOPS WITH ALMOST NO ISSUES AND VERY LITTLE TECH SUPPORT. BUT THE 30 % WE HAVE SOLD TO INDIVIDUALS HAS CAUSED US SO MUCH ISSUE THAT WE DROPPED THESE FOR A YEAR. FOR THIS REASON WE HAVE NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL TO SELL THIS PRODUCT AND READ AT THE BOTTOM BEFORE BUYING THIS PRODUCT 
  • THIS IS A NEWLY REMANUFACTURED 18 HP LONGBLOCK FOR  A  B43. YOU MUST SPECIFY WHAT APPLICATION YOU NEED FOR YOUR TRACTOR. ( CORE REQUIRED)

    • Each engine is fully remachined to like new specs. (List of work done is below)
    • These are as good or better than a new block since a (seasoned) block has less chanch of warping or moving! Plus we include reconditioned heads and oil pump!
    • As with all our blocks we do require 4  weeks to build currently, but this can change with demand! If you cant wait the specified time, do not purchase or call for an adjusted price!
    • THIS IS REBUILT WITH ( new ) parts-not used as some people do- SO IF YOU'VE PRICED THESE YOU COULD PAY THIS MUCH JUST FOR THE KIT AND MACHINING TO REBUILD.
    • Block is shipped with new intake gaskets, OIL ADAPTER GASKET IF NEEDED, and oil pan gasket.
    • WE ARE A PROFESSIONAL SMALL ENGINE REBUILDER PROVIDING HUNDREDS OF REBUILT ENGINES AROUND THE USA EACH YEAR. THE QUALITY OF WORK ON THIS ENGINE IS SECOND TO NONE!
    • We have CASE cranks but also some Steiner, John Deere, and Wheel Horse cranks as well.
    • ( WE DO REQUIRE YOUR CORE ) A refundable core charge can be paid up front or your core must be returned before new block ships. We can send a Pay Pal invoice or charge your credit card for core or you can box your core and return it. ( ABOUT CORES ) TO RECEIVE CORE REFUND Core returned must be same as block we send and must be in rebuildable shape. This usually means no holes in block, oil bypass tube ok, cylinders can be bored, and crank can be remachined. Any questions about this just call first!

  • ( WORK PERFORMED ) First block is completely cleaned and glass beaded. Glass beading is the best way to remove grime and carbon and is used by top racing engine builders everyday! 

    • Next all surfaces are resurfaced to flatten them. All engines warp from heat and stress and even a few thousanths can rob a new rebuild of horsepower and engine life.
    • Cylinders are bored oversize for new pistons and rings. Our bore finish is extremely precision and we use a platteau finish for longer engine life.
    • Cranks are remachined for new rods and bearings
    • Oil pump is rebuilt for like new oil pressure! Oil pressure is properly set before ship.
    • Govenor is now reworked and remachined to perform like new! il tubes are checked for leaks.
    • Cam, and lifters are reconditioned.  
    • Valves, guides, and seats are all remachined to (better) than new specs. .
    • We assemble this with new gaskets and seals
    • ( THIS IS NOT A RERINGED ENGINE AS SOME PEOPLE SELL. ALSO BORING ENGINE, TURNING CRANK, AND INSTALLING NEW PARTS OFTEN DOES NOT MAKE A GOOD REBUILD ) This is totally remanufactured from top to bottom and will actually last as long or longer than a factory block with proper care!
    • ( NOTE ) All our blocks use the latest factory style pistons and rods! 

      

    THIS ENGINE IS NOT THAT HARD TO ASSEMBLE BUT IF A FEW THINGS ARE LEFT UNADDRESSED IT CAN DAMAGE OR EVEN RUIN A NEW BLOCK. OF THE DOZEN OR SO ENGINES WE HAVE BROUGHT BACK OR CHECKED OUT IN THE LAST 2 YEARS NONE HAVE HAD ANY ISSUE WITH OUR WORKMANSHIP    ( ALL ) 100% HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH INTAKE MANIFOLD, CARBURETOR, TIMING ( either points on a B series or mag pickup on a P series ), FUEL PUMP, or the few minor PTO seal leaks we will address later. The timing, intake, or carb can cause engine to overheat causing head gaskets to blow or seats to fall out or engine to just not run properly-- FOR THIS REASON ALL ENGINES PURCHASED- CUSTOMER MUST RETURN INTAKE, CARB, FUEL PUMP, AND POINTS ASSEMBLY OR MAG PICKUP TO US BEFORE WE SHIP BLOCK. WE WILL RESEAL INTAKE, INSTALL POINTS AND SET, AND TEST CARBURETOR and FUEL PUMP AT OUR EXPENSE. IF MANIFOLD IS BROKE OR CRACKED, POINTS ARE BAD, fuel pump is bad, OR CARB NEEDS REBUILT CUSTOMER WILL HAVE TO PAY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE. YOU CAN'T PUT BAD PARTS ON A GOOD ENGINE AND EXPECT IT TO WORK OR LAST. COST TO SHIP THESE BACK TO US IN A POSTAL FLAT RATE BOX IS UNDER $15.

    NOW TO ADDRESS OIL SEALS. When the Onan was designed a 40 lb PSI oil seal was used. ALL, ALL, ALL, manufacturers have stopped building 40 lb seals and now ( EVEN THE ONAN ) are rated at 10 lb PSI rating. We install 2 special seals each rated at 10 for a total of 20 PSI protection and it keeps all but about 6 to 10 % from leaking. This small percent will cause PTO seal to seep until bearings get seated. After usually 15 hrs most have stopped but all have stopped by 25 to 40 hrs. Now for the 5 we brought back, all 5 customers had installed their own ONAN seal after being told by someone on web to do it and all came back leaking terribly. We reinstalled our 2 seals again and test ran and (ALL) 100% quit leaking by 10 hrs. All leaks which are few amount to about 1 drop a minute which can be easily wiped off with a rag and will stop as we stated when engine breaks in. Because of the 5 people that insisted they can do better than us and cost us a lot of money we have a new policy. IF YOU CALL ABOUT A LEAK WE WILL TELL YOU TO WAIT TILL ENGINE BREAKS IN, IF YOU RETURN ENGINE AND HAVE CHANGED SEAL, WE WILL REINSTALL OUR 2 SEALS, TEST RUN ENGINE AND IF IT
    DOES STOP LEAKING AS WE SAY WE WILL REFUND ALL BUT $300 TO COVER OUR SHIPPING, REPAIR, AND TEST COSTS.  IF YOU RETURN ENGINE FOR A MINOR SEAL LEAK AND WE TEST RUN AND IT STOPS WE WILL REFUND ALL BUT $190. IF YOU DON'T AGREE TO THIS DON'T PURCHASE.
